Sister Vicki Rochelle Kennedy was born on February 13, 1957 to William Kennedy and Marjorie Carr in Kansas City, Kansas. Sister Vicki entered into rest on June 2nd, 2025 at the age of 68.
Sister Vicki was baptized and a member of Ebenezer Christian Fellowship Church where she was an active bible study member and served as an usher. Her faith lifted her through her battle with breast cancer and she was a proud breast cancer survivor for the past 9 years.
Sister Vicki lived in Kansas City, Kansas all of her life. She attended Sumner High School. Her career consisted of 50 years in the banking industry with the last 26 years spent with U.M.B. Her coworkers would describe her as a dedicated employee that took great pride in her work. During her free time, Sister Vicki enjoyed going shopping, watching “her shows,” and attending church. She took delight in going on family vacations with Donald, Nikki and her grand-children. Her grand-children held a special place in her heart. Whether she was bragging about their grades, travels, jobs, awards or sports, she never failed at being their #1 fan.
Sister Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, William Kennedy and Marjorie Peoples; son, Charles Phoenix Jr.; Sister, Marjorie Davis; Step-father, Cornelius “George” Peoples.
Sister Vicki leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Sharee “Nikki” Boykin (Donald); grand-children, Jaden Phoenix and Mya Boykin; brother, John Adams; sisters, Erma Joe, Joyce Blaylock (Gary); nieces; nephews and friends.
