Robert Edward Sanchez, age 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24th, at 8:30 a.m., in his loving home. He was born on November 11th, 1963, at Saint Margaret’s Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, to Pete and Mary Sanchez.
Robert was a proud graduate of the historic Wyandotte High School. On January 11th, 2026, he married his loving wife, best friend, and soulmate, Stephanie Sanchez, in his home state of Kansas City.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Robert spent many years as a machinist for Tompkins Industries Inc., where he achieved the honor of ranking #1 nationwide for the company. He lived life to the fullest, never holding back. A true family man, Robert cherished spending time with close friends who, over the years, became family.
Robert was well known for being the #1 grill master. No matter the weather, time, or day, he could always be found outside doing what he loved most. He also had a deep passion for racing, a love that grew from within. He was admired by many at Lakeside Speedway, a local track where he showcased his dedication and devotion to the sport that meant so much to him.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Sanchez; his son, Robert Sanchez Jr.; his daughter, Kristian Richards; grandson Robert Sanchez III; brothers, Rick Sanchez and Pete Sanchez; and his sister, Linda Lopez.
Robert’s life was filled with love, hard work, and passion. He was loved and respected by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of strength, loyalty, and unforgettable memories.
