Christina passed unexpectedly on July 7, 2026 at the age of 76 at KU Medical Center surrounded by family. Christina was born in Kansas City, Kansas on December 16, 1949 to Torivio O. Garcia Sr. and Elvira (Rivera) Garcia, she was a longtime resident of Kansas City, Missouri within the Sacred Heart Community.
Christina is survived by her sons, Christopher Shawn and Carlos Derek Valdivia; Sister Micaela Escareno (Jose); Brothers Alfredo Garcia (Linda), Angel Garcia (Patricia); Grandchildren, Nicholas, Ariel and Bella Valdivia and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Torivio O. Garcia Sr. and Elvira (Rivera) Garcia; Sisters Mary Costillo, Carmella Jauregui, Roberta Garcia and Carmen Williams; Brothers, Louis Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, Torivio Garcia Jr., Philip Garcia and Pedro Garcia.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
