Carlos Martin Nuñez-Loya was born on November 11, 1961, to the late Cesario and Hermila Nuñez in Camargo, Chihuahua Mexico. He gained his wings on May 13th, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Carlos grew up in Camargo, Chihuahua, where he played baseball for the team Empacadora Santa Rosalia and was a champion pitcher at the early age of 19. While playing the sport he loved, he met his friend for life, Gilberto Peña-Cobos. In 1980, he married Gilberto’s sister, Carmen Peña-Cobos whom remained by his side until his last day. In 1985, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri and three years later they purchased their first home in Kansas City, KS. Carlos worked hard every day to provide as a painter and in the home remodeling industry. He never missed a day of work and was a true family man, never wanting his family to go without.

Although Carlos was a hard worker, he knew how to have a good time. He loved music and he never held himself back from singing his heart out in public, no matter who was watching. Even in the comfort of his home, he loved singing in the shower. His love of music was so immense that he regularly appeared on the Spanish radio station, La Super X 1250, as an on-air guest with the nickname of “El Latin.” Carlos had a spirit of endurance, courage and loyalty that will be deeply missed by all those that loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Carmen Peña-Cobos; brother, Jorge Nuñez; son, Brian Carlos Nuñez (Karla Paloma); daughters, Karla Aleli Nuñez and Evelyn Marie Nuñez; grandchildren, Brian Arath Nuñez, Carlos Saith Nuñez, Briana Sofia Nuñez, Julian Miguel Calderon, Erick Xzavier Calderon and Sebastian Isaac Galvan.
