Mark Steven Callahan

In remembrance of Mark Steven Callahan Independence, MO, the family announces with great sadness his passing after a brief illness with cancer on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the age of 58. Mark was born May 12, 1960 in Kansas City, MO., the son of John Ray Callahan and Mary Magdaline Ayres Carroll (Donald). Mark as young man proudly enlisted in to the United States Army to serve his country. In the Army he traveled and had many experiences. He was loved by his family and he enjoyed spending time with them. Mark will be remembered by his family, mother, Mary Magdaline Ayres Carroll (Donald); his siblings Michael Ray Callahan (Ella), Melinda Melba Callahan, and Allen Bennett; his children, Darren Scott Callahan, Christopher Callahan, and Amanda Parr; his nieces and nephews, Melba Jean Cameron, Jacob Williams Monteer (Amber), Melissa Maria Monteer, Michael Ray Callahan Jr. (Rachel), Michelle Ranae Callahan, Alexandria Elizabeth Callahan and Darren Picolet; Mark has several Great Nephews, Preston, Austin, Weston, Benjamin and Aiden and two grandchildren. Mark was proceeded in death by his father, John Ray Callahan November 1, 1998. Military Graveside Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth Kansas. For any information, please contact the Funeral Home.
